CPU Temps??

I have an Athalon 1800+ and Epox mboard. What are the average CPU temps??

No overclocking, so I didn't think it would be a big deal.

I've had some problems in the past, so I want to make sure.

40-60 C?

60C is a little high for an AMD 1800+ w/stock hsf which averages around 55C under full load without oc. I suggest purchasing some AS2 or AS3, or perhaps a new case fan for better air flow.

If worse comes to worse take off the side of the case. Thats a very cheap cooling solution. It also works very well. Allthough if you have a screamer of a hsf then I wouldnt recommend it.

But the temps shouldn't be higher than 55C I had a 1600 its temps were on average 43C with a Volcano 5, I just ordered a 1700, i plan to put the Fop on it and see what the temps are. Should be lower than 43C seeing as the Volcano 5 spins at 4500 rpms, and the fop spins at 6800 rpms.
