Lightbulb Website says my m/b won't take 1ghz cpu. what if.........

ok my crap m/b (Tyan Trinity 400/apollo pro 133) is an older revision and as a result the fastest processors it will handle according to website (with latest bios) is the slot 1 p3 800mhz or the 866mhz variety. no way!! I want 1gh. would it be possible for the m/b to run my 800mhz processor or the 866mhz o/c to/at 1gh? I'm not questioning whether or not the cpu can do it. I know there is a chance it won't budge at all. my question is will the m/b not recognize it at that speed and not work... or.... is there a code in the processor that still registers itself to the m/b that it is, say, the p3 800mhz and continue to run at the o/c speed?
    just curious.

    thanks.

I'm pretty sure you can overclock it with the FSB.

    Cool

You probably already thought about this, but have you considered an upgrade from www.powerleap.com or from www.evertech.com for your board?

Their adapters override normal BIOS limits and let you run CPU's at higher core frequencies than otherwise possible.

    What do you think?
