    Talking best woofer system

Whats the best sub woofer system for under 150. I have a boka now and it pumps out some pretty good bass but none of that ground shaking bass. I want bass that rattles **** off my table. not the **** that sounds like bass i want the ground shaking loud bass stuff. also all the multimedia subs ive seen have something like a 4' sub i want big and cheap.

Sounds like for your criteria the only answer is the Sony SA-WM40. You should be able to find it for close to $130 (sans shipping) on shop.yahoo.com.

You would want the altec lansing 641's. Do a search on pricewatch for them. The first one should come up at $139. If you think your boka's rock then you are in for a big surprise. By the way the sub has a dual 6.5" driver design.

Logitech z-560 can be had for $115 from dell if I remember, and that is the best pc sub for under $400. Except for the dts.

z560's have a high fail rate, and they also have complaints of too loud of bass.

    I'd get the Inspire 5700's.

    The 641 > z560 in tightness

the z560 > 641 in extension, and, depending on how old of a model you get and where you place the sub, can sometimes be too exaggerated

the 641 and z650 both kill the 5700 in quality.

....And the Boston Acoustics BA7800 whoops them all!!! The 7800 sub is tighter and has more impact than the z560 sub, and it exaggerates just as well...but you can turn THIS one down to "accurate", lol!!!

Here's a post where I quoted a friend on his opinions of the BA7800... he compared this systems to two systems that have INCREDIBLE sound quality and price to performance ratio, the Logitech z560's (for the mega bass system) and the Monsoon MH-505 (for the audiophile system). It beat both...

    http://www.3dsoundsurge.com/cgi-bin/...vc=1#Post58883

    here's his review...

    http://www.3dsoundsurge.com/cgi-bin/...w=&sb=&o=&vc=1

Here's where I asked him directly which was louder, the 560's or the 7800...

    http://www.3dsoundsurge.com/cgi-bin/...=5&o=21&fpart=

And here's where you buy them...

    http://www.gateway.com/products/gca/...800.asp?seg=hm

You can also walk into one of those Gateway stores and buy one.

Remember folks, Boston Acoustics uses continuous RMS watts in those specs, not "Dynamic" or "Burst" RMS, which is a more exaggerated measurement... and these are the loudest multimedia system I know of.

    Here's some dB level tests....

    http://www.3dss.com/reviews/SiroccoP...ccoPro-p3.html

Here's what the Pro's specs say...
"Highly efficient drive units mean that the true 100 W rms system provides over 110 dB maximum SPL,"

here's what the 7800's specs say...

    Maximum System Output: Exceeds 113dB @ .5m

    Here's how the z560 tests...
    http://www.3dss.com/reviews/Z560/Z560s-p3.html

Here's what someone who has both says, subjectively, on how the 7800's and the z560 compare in loudness:

"As far as the Z560 vs Ba7800 for loud, I would have to say I think the Ba7800 are louder. Not that at really matters at that kind of insane volume anyhow."
