C&C Renegade problems. You too?

Geforce Ti 200 @230/480mhz
2 gigs free hard disk space, defragged weekly
All latest drives installed and no background running tasks

Ok, with the game at 1024x768 and all graphics at max the voice from people simply cuts off in the middle of sentences at times or will repeat itself. They will even overlap at times. Very annoying. That I can deal with, however when the game runs like I only have 64mb of memory (skipping, stuttering, etc) then I get upset. I thought I was pushing my system too much, so I lowered all graphics to lowest but kept 1024x768. I still got the skipping and stuttering and constant pausing. What the heck? Anyone know of this problem? I thought it was my system but then heck no!! Below is a list of games I currently have installed and am playing with NONE of these problems I am having with this game:

Giants, B&W, Max Payne (not anymore, I uninstalled it for C&C), Jedi Knight 2, Medal of Honor, NOLF.

I play all these games with 2x anti-alising on too!! and don't have this problem. all are at 1024x768 max details (except for Medal of Honor. I play at high detail not highest). Anyone? Anyone? Thanks in advance

It is not your rig that is the problem, a number of people with blazing systems still get lag even in SP, just have to deal with it until a patch fixes that up...
