    Sharing Cable Modem

Hi, I have a 4 port hub and a cable modem with 3 computers connected into it. 2 computers get internet, but the third one doesn't. I heard XP has a feature called "Bridge Connections" but I am not sure what it does. If I could recieve help about this topic before I go out and spend my money on a router it would be appreciated. Thank you and have a nice day.

You could be running into a problem with how many IP addresses your ISP will assign to your account.(Been there, been frustrated...)
Double check with your ISP to see how many connections they will let you have at one time.
With the router, you only have one public IP while you will have 3 local IP addresses on your own small network which the router assigns. I'm using 4 pcs through my Linksys router, all working like a champ....
