Problem with the sound in Quicktime

When I play a movie in Quicktime, the sound is corrupt, it plays as usual but there's a disturbation added to the sound, a buzz that gets worse the higher the volume is. This problem is only occuring in Quicktime. I've un- installed the software and installed from the Quicktime website.

if u havent already change some of the settings in the sound bit of the quicktime control panel, that may or may not help, its just a suggestion.
