    I have a celeron 900...

320MB of RAM, and a 64MB Kyro II...

...and Trespasser still runs like ****. lol, Did anyone else actually try this game out? I remember reading all the reviews saying how crappy it ran (this was like in 98, right?), so I downloaded the demo recently to see how it is...and it's still crap.

    wow.

LOL Nice first post!, but I don't think anyone here liked that game. I know I never even played it, I herd it was so bad.

Anyway welcome to sharkyforums, and well who cares about that stupid game! Go out and buy Jedi Knight II, unless you already have it.

    thanks for the greeting!

I'm kinda going through a bunch of older games I wanted to play that didn't really run well on my old comp (had a celeron 366 and a voodoo 3 until I upgraded this past christmas). I just remember everyone clowning this game for how bad it ran, and I naively thought that it was maybe just "ahead of it's time", so I downloaded the demo last week...

    boy was I wrong.

I definately want to get Jedi Outcast though...(blame a lack of funds and school for not getting it)

I did buy total annihilation for 4 bucks though...

Of course the GeForce2 Ultra (better then Kryo II) still ran at only 20FPS when MaximumPC re-reviewed the game and it still turned out to be a crappy game lol. Its another example of poor game coding.

Well an article in PC Gamer, that I read once, said that after two years of its release, they finally tried it with a Geforce 2 Ultra.
It finally ran smoothly enough to be playable, but the game still sucked according to them

Anyways, a new dinasour FPS game has been released recently (Carnev..errr forgot the name), check it out at your local computer store.

Yeah, I still remember the joy of playing it. It was like Quake 1 with much better graphics, levels, monsters, and AI (arghh, I hate the dodgy skarjj warriors ). Besides, music in it ROCKED!!!

Have you ever tried to finish it cooperatively online?
    That's very enjoyable as well.

PS: My favorite level was Sunspire!

one older game I've been playing a lot of recently is Kingpin...I think it's by the same developers of RTCW...it's a pretty cool game. The graphics still hold up really well even today, and I'm a sucker for gang-style video game violence (which is why I can't wait for GTA3)

Also, if you guys are in search of some pretty decent deals on pc games, surprisingly, Half-Price Books is a great place to go. That's where I got:

    Heretic II: $3 bucks
(original) Rainbow Six + Mission Pack: $8
    Sin: $5
    And Total Annihilation.

I also bought Serious Sam for $7, and Oni at electronics boutique for $2

I don't think I'm ever gonna have time to play through all of these...
