    help with spiderman...

ok, i just picked up spiderman the movie game from best buy (only $20 for pc, the ps2,etc versions are like $50...)

i installed it and tried playing the first level, but the controls are really really sluggish...any reason for this? as of now its unplayable

i move in one direction with the arrow keys, and i keep moving for at least 2 seconds, even if i am constantly pounding on the keyboard in the opposite direction

i thought maybe my computer couldnt handle the game, so i turned the graphics down to 640 x 480, low detail, and its the same!!!!

i'm thinking about trying it out on my friends comp, athlon 1.4 with gf3 ti200 and seeing if it works better, but i really want to get it to work on my computer

    thanks

Sounds like it's a game issue.

I have the same thing...although 2 seconds is a bit exaggerated. I think the controls just suck in general. I think since they had to make the camera able to go anywhere, so you can stick to everything...
Either way, hopefully in a patch or something they will address it and make it 3rd person. I bought a gamepad and it seemed to make it slightly better.

i have a gamepad pro usb (like a playstation controller w/o dual shock), i'll try it later today or tomorrow and see what happens

damn the graphics and story are great (and the movie too, saw it yesterday), but this controls thing sucks...

Runs great for me... using a Sidewinder USB pad.

However, is there any possible way to keep the camera locked? I hate having to 're-center' it all the damn time. Makes it really difficult when you go into a room blindly from a side-perspective.
