question about admins and Housen???

First off I want to know how do you guys choose your moderators? Is it by the number of posts or by a application you need to fill out?

Second, after reading some of these posts in the Articles/Feedback section, I kept seeing people posting how housen might be still here, or we will miss him, etc.. Who is this House guy and did he lose his admins due to abusing his power?

I am just curious to know so don't get upset or anything by me asking.

When mods are needed the admins ask existing mods who they think would be good candidates. We make out decisions based on the knowledge of the person for the forum they are being considered as well as their conduct. Post count is not a consideration. Also, to be a mod you must be 18, so that is a factor we have to consider.

Housen was the head admin for Sharky, but due to where he was living and where he had to commute to work, he got a new job opportunity that required less travleing to get to work. This is why Housen left Sharky's.

FYI, he did not "abuse" his power. He did a great job as admin.

I agree the new head dog is a man named Richard; although Catalyst is still the prominent admin on the forums

he was never too harsh (while I was around) and no one every got away with personally assaulting others

he was strong with the rules but didn't ban someone on the first "slip up"

I admire him for taking all the crap that he did as well

personally I think he did a good job

Where is he now? Still doing administrative duties?

Richard is quite busy with his main duties. I doubt if you'll see him post here as much as Housen did.

I'm the acting Admin for SharkyForums.com

Richard has part of Housen's old job, which is to tend to all of the forums for Internet.com's network. You might not have guessed, but we have more forums than simply sharkyforums.com =P

If you have an issue with something e-mail me, ICQ me, etc. If you send anything directly to richard, it typically gets pushed back to me, anyhow.

You have to go through the chain of command
