Tiger Shark
Hmm I pretty much agree with what most people are saying, anything to protect the flag... blah blah blah... no actual cheating (scripts, cheats, etc)... no problem with giving chase, or even camping to some extent. But for example in UT, I really think its unfair for someone to sit at a teleporter with the hammer and wait for you to pop in. I dunno, hide up high and blow me up when i round the corner... but at least give me a chance... but... eh whatever, as long as you're not changing the program to cheat i guess fairs fair.
plus i suck so its not like I was gonna get far anyways.
pps. Do they really censor ***?

I had to go while writing my first post, but here is what I was going to say. After playing CS for the last year, I quit because I got fed up with it (well, and because I won't have an Internet connection this summer). But after that I tried messing around with TFC a few times. It had been years since I've played TFC, but now my old strategies can no longer be used. Half the things I would do would result in people calling me a "llama." Some of the time they would ban me from the server just for doing something that their server didn't approve of. This is just stupid. I can see exploits like sky walking or whatnot, but just doing things like going into your opponents base to kill their snipers instead of getting the flag is ridiculous. Valve hasn't changed most of the basic game mechanics since the original TFC release, so I'm guessing they don't find any of the classic strats to be cheap or cheating or whatever.

Cartoon Shark
Complaining newbs are very annoying indeed. I don't know how many of you have played tribes but it is not much unlike other teamplay online games. The most common way to play is CTF. If you die, you spawn back at or near your base. I run across people on a regular basis who complain because someone is guarding their flag. What the heck, that is the point. Now if you sit outside and snipe spawn points then yeah that is cheap. I don't care if people sit outside to snipe, just don't shoot me as soon as I spawn, give me a chance to fly a few hundred yards (1 second) and shoot you between the eyes. One plus is that those who complain are usually very good target practice. I was playing earlier me alone on my team vs 3 on the other team. They complained about me camping (which makes no sense because I was the only one on my team and camping would have completely knocked out my offense) but I just ignored them and laughed at the end of the match when my score was 46 and the others combined were less than 10.

Hammerhead Shark
I cant stand people that complain about camping, chasing,or exploiting a game fault. Last night my friend and i were playing Soldier Of Fortune 2, he was hiding in a cubicle and he killed 4 guys, one of them was the ADMIN and he said no more camping or your booted. Next round my friend was hiding in the elevator shaft and sniped him, he booted him. That was complete crap and are whole team of 7 people all logged off and joined a different server. Its the only way to get back at jackasses like him.

Master of the obvious
I say anything goes as long as your not 'really' cheating. People who complain about chasing of all things are just plain crappy players.. How lame..
