    Raid 0 for gaming?

I recently set up a raid 0 array for my 2 maxtor drives. Thing is, whenever I run games I get consistent pauses where it seems like the hd is reading textures or something. It happens in every game. At first I thought it was my fsb, but when I downclocked it, the same thing kept happening. Should I just ditch the whole array idea altogether?

RAID 0 ROCKS!!! i dunno why the stuff is happening to you...put it down to regular speed...does that stuff still happen?

Yeah, I went back to stock speeds and the same thing kept happening to me... Oh well, I dropped the whole raid setup.

You are probably overwhelming your pci bus. Hence the pausing while it reads from the drive. You can set the pci useage to around 50 percent and this might help.

What games was this a problem in?
