You forgot the most important part: a motherboard and you picked the worst possible RAM.

Get an A-bit TH7-II motherboard and get 2 Samsung PC800 512MB RDRAM sticks.

Also I hope you don't plan on gaming. Because if you do.. the LCD's plain suck at that. Get a 22" CRT monitor from Sony or something. Other than that, it all looks good dude.

22" is too big for gaming(you have to look all over it to find somthing), its hard as hell to lug to lan parties
    19" is the best

I know what that is. It is not going to work because you have a socket 478 CPU and a dual socket 1 motherboard.

It won't work period. Besides you can't overclock Intel motherboards to save your life. So you can't use Intel motherboards. And the fact that you're pairing it with 'el cheapo' PC-133 SDRAM doesn't help.

If you want a system that works, I suggest dumping all that cooling, just go with a retail Heatsink fan as its enough, and use an A-bit TH7-II motherboard above along with PC800 RAMBUS RAM. That will work and give you a much better performance.

    1. Get the WD special edition 8mb cache HD
    2. Get either some samsung pc2700 ram or rdram.
    3. Get rid of the 52x cd-rom. A dvd and cd-rw is enough.
    Athlon 64 3700+
    2GB Micron DDR400

    Generic 8x4x8x DVD+-RW
    Dell 17" Trinitron (just bought a 2005fpw!!)

And my soon to be 1.5TB server

Why do you need the cd drive? There is no reason that I can think of to keep it...if you want another CD drive, get another CD-RW or DVD - your budget doesn't seem to mind

If newegg doesn't have it (they probably will soon), go to www.mwave.com...they're a little more expensive, though.

Whatever you do, DON'T PAIR A P4 WITH SDRAM. Blech.

Cadet.. we've given him good advice. If he wants to ignore it and do what he thinks is best.. its his business. We tried but its life and his money to waste.

Well just make it 4 x 512MB and you have 2 gigs of RAM. The A-bit TH7-II will support it.
