I'm going to wait for multiplayer, then come back and see what you guys say and decide whether or not I should get it. :P

Those of you who played GTA IV and liked it, how much better would you say GTA 5 is? (pc version)

I don't know about the pc version. But GTA V is 1000x better than IV.

As someone who really enjoyed 4, I would say that 5 feels like a significant improvement.

Lets wait till the "newness" wears off then make judgements shall we. I remember people being super happy with D3 at launch, and well, we know how that turned out.

I think the launch of GTA Online next week will determine this game's real staying power.

    Legit Complaints by Kama:

    - Some missions draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag. I swear, the one I just played had me chasing a plane for 10 minutes in the air with nothing interesting happening.
    - The story in general is pretty uninteresting, but that's fairly standard for a GTA game.
    - SERIOUSLY, WHERE ARE THE HIDDEN COLLECTIBLES?! I've found exactly 1 in the 20+ hours I've spent with the game. It's frustrating.
    - Not a lot to do up north. (ie: half the game's map)

Haven't played, but I did notice this looking at the map. I'm not sure I understand it. Feels like they either ran into some deadline or technical roadblock and decided not to finish half the map. Maybe it will be useful in multiplayer?

I loved the Vice City map. Hated San Andreas. Never played IV.

I hear ya. 35 hours in and have found 1 on top of a crane and that's it. Haven't found any space parts.

Most definitely got that from Red Dead Redemption, was just down south in that one.

I've only found 1 UFO part and nothing else. I didn't even know there was anything else!

I think you are supposed to use the dog to find collectibles.

I'm really liking the game. I think the story is interesting enough. I wish they would come up with a better main thread to give the story a plot. As of now there isn't a plot at all. Franklin seems like he just chills by the phone waiting for people to call him. Trevor bursts in on people like a nightmare version of Cramer.

I like the expanse of the map and the number of activities, but the thread weaving them all together is lacking. I was expecting the heists to play a central part of the story, but they seem very spontaneous without much back story or camaraderie between the characters.

What did you guys think of the torture scene? I didn't find it as disturbing as the media has. I think it was well done and, contrary to what most people think, it was not satirical. It was one of the few times that Rockstar dropped the joking and actually made a direct commentary on a social issue.
