    Exclamation Buddy Check

    Hello,
I'm shira from the Cooler's Guild. I'm here to tell you about buddy check. Take this opportunity to email/IM/tell a "buddy" of yours to check his case for symptoms of Dustycaseitis. This dangerous infection can lead to the death of a computer.
Symptoms include but are not limited to:
    • clumps of dust in or on the case
    • a moderate to thick coating of dust on the components
    • a mat of dust on heatsinks and fans

Please on the 18th of every month check your case as well as remind a buddy to check his/hers.

    -shira of the Cooler's Guild

right on, my dad had to get a new video card from dell because all of a sudden there were these grey stripes acroos his screen (even after connecting a different monitor). So when I went to install it in his dell, I had noticed that the gpu fan was the problem. so much dust had gotten into it that I could barely turn it with my finger. lol, after that I think i'm going in my case with a can of compressed air every so often. I can't just holler dell and have a new video card you know .

Im never opening my case again, I just opened it and a big gray bunny jumped from my CPU and try to hit me

Luckily I shut the case side quickly t ohold him back , I think he let me off easy this time and got his warning across.

    Phew

    2 120's @ 138CFM
    1 92 @ 103 CFM
    2 80's @ 32CFM

    All intake, no filters.

I think I'm abusing my computer now, hitting it w/ endless atacks of dust bunnies on a mission..to destroy!
XPS 400, quit the comp. scene. My new toy:

    2 80mm + 1 120 = No Dust

Wanna know how? Well, two things. First of all, positive case pressure. This keeps dust from being sucked in. 2nd is I use FILTERS!
0wner of the first EVER post in "completely custom"!!!

Thanks for the heads up, Sergeant 'Bout time for me to crack my case open and dust it...

(God, I gotta get a filter for my massive intake - all 103CFM's are blowing down tons of dust on my precious MCX and Radeon )
