FS: Thermaltake volcano 11 & DuctingMod

I am selling both the Tt volcano 11 and the thermal mod (which is the curved plastic extension to help reduce the "motor shadow" of the fan). The hsf comes with the pci bracket adjusting knob. It does not have the 5.25" bay knob (didn't come with it). I am asking for $20 shipped OBO to the 48 lower states US. I accept Paypal non-credit card payment, checks, MO.

I have not bought or sold on this forum before and I don't have heatware. I have an ebay ID: ssj4davin21 with 2 purchases showing positive feedback. IF interested feel free to PM me or send me an email at [email protected]

Please feel free to make me an offer!

    Tt volcano 11 link

    DuctingMod

Hope this helps any potential buyers. This combo works well for a moderate o/c. In great condition- I am selling because I am not using it anymore.

mega bump for an awesome price, does anyone know how many degrees cooler (about) the cpu runs with the duct mod or is it just hype?

I haven't changed my sig yet, so it was cooling "rig #2". I had the system at 13x166 at 1.65 Vcore (with native vcore at 1.6V). I was able to keep temps below 45C while folding with windows and doors closed in sacramento this past week (weather was reaching near record highs for that time of year at high 80s... so it was mid 90's in my room). Honestly that was pretty decent considering I didn't turn the fan all the way up and the room had no ventilation nor was the AC on.

I had the computer running at 189x10 as well, but the mobo was holding the o/c back.

As far as the ductin mod goes, well I honestly can't tell you if it is hype or not. I ordered the two together and never tested the hsf without the mod. It makes sense as to what it is supposed to do.

My opinion of the hsf as a whole is that it is a moderate o/c. Not as good a a thermright slk series, but better than stock. When I am not folding I see temps around 33-37C at the above overclock, depending on the weather, and while the fan is at about 3300rpm. Now, I will also like to state for the record that when turned up high, the Tt smartfan 2 is loud. Not as loud as a vantec tornado, but it is up there. Yet, when summer comes, it is nice to have more power at your fingertips. Hope this answers your questions.

Wow, I just switched the volcano off of my 2nd rig (see sig) with a stock hsf from a 2500+ barton. The temps rose as high as 52C (which I think is because the Thermal pad that comes on stock hsf's had to burn in) but then temps normalized to 44-46C idle. Plus this is at non-overclocked speeds and voltages. Yes, it is seated properly... the room is hot. But as comparison, the volcano kept temps around 33-36C idle in the same ambient temps. The volcano only reached 44C when under load, while o/c'ed to 2166Mhz. I'd say that is a decent description of how well the volcano works. The stock hsf is quieter, but the volcano allows a decent overclock (got my 2100+ form 1733 to 2166, Prime95 stable for over 10hours).

It has a 100% copper hs w/ the Tt smartfan2. Offers welcome!
