Well IBM's handle them very nicely run at a 41mhz pci speed. But i also have a cheap ata 20gig drive that seems to take it just aswell it's a fijiusti or something like that

I've read several o/c articles and the IBM's seem to be the best at handeling higher PCI speeds.
I've got 2 maxtor drives (latest models) and they've worked just fine at higher speeds. I can't exactly remember what settings, but anyway, they work fine.

seagate drives seem to handle high bus speeds quite nicely as well. that's based on my experience.

I have gone through 2 seagate drives and both failed because of high bus speeds, 115 FSB. Both seemed to fail during defragmenting.

That why if your over clock'n a intel cpu the PIII e's (600,700,800) with there 100fbs are so popular, you can get to real boost in performance a 133fbs with out overclock'n your pci. Its very possible to reach 1 gig with out violent overclock'n your pci. Why, the PIIIE start with a higher mulitplier so you stay at the lower fbs and pci problems are much less of a issue. Go the other way around, get a good overclock cpu , you'll save your sanity in the end.
