I downloaded and installed PC Cleaner Pro and it found 5,575 problems. I went to register to fix the problems, but they want money. I do have CCleaner but was always afraid to mess with the registry. Any ideas how to fix the slow performance, "not responding" errors and QT errors. Also Avast has been giving me some problem like a red X through the icon on bottom bar.
I use CC cleaner (free version) and have never run into issues when clearing the registry. I have my computer setup frequent system restore points. When you clean the registry in CC cleaner, it gives you an option to save a copy of the current registry config (incase you mess stuff up). What I do is this. If I have made significant changes (firmware updates, driver updates, hardware changes), I keep a copy of the registry file. But if it's routine registry cleaning, then I don't. Haven't run into a problem yet.

Security essential is a free Security suit from Microsoft its free updates it self through the OS AutoUpdate and as Good as any of the 3rd party apps.
Its works better with Windows and does Not contribute to the General software "Crap" as some of the 3rd party apps do.
