hmm.. i just tried benching with dx8.1, for sum reason after i switched back my fsb won't go above 195... my mark dropped 300 points... i'll try both dx versions again ones i get my win2k back from my friend and see if it will do better or notQuote:

no, using dirx8 and the older, or the new drivers got me a worst score then a straight set-up with dirx9.0b right out of the box.
Right now I`m playing with the Omega drivers...and the performance is just off, but, OMG the image quality is great!! and seems to be less lock-ups, but it`s just short on the #s.
When are those 51.75 drivers coming out??? :D
Well, it was worth a shot, I guess the 5900 scores higher in 9x. About the Omega drivers I use the Omega 43.45`s for gaming, it don`t up or lower my 3D Mark score, but like you say they do improve image quality a lot.Quote:

i formatted, installed win2k and dx8.1, and used the same clock speeds as b4, the frame rates did go up, but i get slow downs frequently for some reason... car chase low detail was at 260 fps at a spot and it just suddenly dropped to 170 when its suppose to drop around 10 fps... and for sum reason win2k won't let me go to 200 fsb unlike xp...

i tried rivatuner, coolbits, and powerstrip... problem is still there...
I`m not doing any tricks with the rival tuner like mip limiting or whatever, not even killing any services in windows. :p
I got the best results with the Nforce2 drivers on the NF7 CD, and then the 44.03 drivers and directx9 that came on the Gainward fx5900 CD.

well i saw LLC posting on the forums, in fact i was asking him for pictures of his giant 2 with ramsinks on them... tbird on the other hand... i haven't heard from him in ages

Did you clear cmos, something in bio`s could have changed, just thought I would add that I flashed to the latest bio`s today and I am able to get more aggressive memory settings.Quote:
