40k sounds fun, but I couldn't really see myself getting into the scene.
I think ill just go play some mass effect :D)
July 25th is Gamesday in chicago, I'll be out there and its a good chance to try out alot of armies as gaming clubs set up demo tables for quick games.
I might try to make it up there Recon. That would be cool to see all the pro painted models and large scale games.

That is what I am going to do. I will work on the Black Reach set so I can try to get others into the game. Then I will work on slowly building up an army of my own.
Now I have to figure out a paint scheme for my space marines. All the ones I liked from Horus Heresy turned to Chaos lol.
Going to go pick up the set tomorrow. I'm going to have to pick up a paint set as well. Can't wait to get it. I actually started practicing my painting a bit last night on a Hertz Mustang Revell model that I've had sitting around for awhile. I would go get it today but the power is still out down there in carbondale.
Ive always liked the Blood Angels colors (blood red + black) and the Imperial Fists (lots of yellow) but if you wanna be really cool, you could totally do the Blood Ravens from DoW.
The Codex books also have plenty of good color options and usually show the different Legions color schemes so you can choose what you like.

Check out this pdf that shows the schemes of most of the chapters.
I really like the executioners, but that looks like it would be hard to paint.

Most of those chapters are made up but alot do look pretty nice. They shouldnt of included the Grey Knights in there since theyre not part of the Adeptus Astartes and arent a true Legion.
My favorites after looking it over for a few mins whould have to be the Deathwatch, Angels of Redemption, the Novamarines and the Black Templars (gotta love marines in black). If I do start up some marines in the future Im definetly gonna be looking at those Deathwatch, I like the black/silver/blue they have.

I always thought TT games looked fun but the people playing them generally have one shower for every ten people attending. In addition, I don't want to feel like I'm the coolest one in the room. That's just sad.
Well lets get some cool people involved!
