A shame. Guy had all the talent in the world and should have been a very good football player, just could never get his ish together. Hopefully he makes it.

That's got to be one of the oddest player injuries I've ever heard of.
Who should I start in my fantasy playoffs?
Chris Jennings, Cleveland Browns RB vs KC Chiefs
or
Quintin Ganthers, Washington RB vs NY Giants
Both guys have been promoted to starting backs
I'm starting Jennings even though Cleveland sucks, just cause KC is horrible too. Ganthers is probably the better choice but I don't have him. Jason Campbell has been playing well recently, so Washington will be more effective at running the ball.
I'd go with Gathers.
Not sure how many remember this kid's dad, but James Wilder according to Lawrence Taylor was the most difficult running back that he ever had to play against.
Looks like the apple doesn't fall far from the tree in this case. Wilder Jr. is apparently 223lbs and still just a Jr. in high school:

I just heard on the radio that its possible that every 1st round playoff game could be a rematch of a week 17 game. That would be really strange to see so many teams have to play the same team 2 weeks in a row.
From last year, best Giants related video ever made.

haha that's terrible....giants dont belong in the playoffs this year, clearly. The AFC wild card race is crazy, even the jets are still in it, I wouldn't be surprised if they lost to the bengals backups. Maybe they can combine the jets defense with the giants offense and make a new team
In the AFC, it looks like an 8-8 team could still be in it. My memory may be bad, but the last time I remember that happening was like 20 years ago.
You should here some on the people calling the Radio shows this week in the NY-NJ area. Lots os Giants season ticket holders pissed and upset about the last game they will play in Giants stadium. One lady who has had tickets for a really long time was in tears lol.
Its kinda weird the Jets will play the last ever game in Giants stadium though.
You people have short memories, it happened just last year in the 2008 season :p
How bout the Chargers of last year, they finished 8-8 and it was good enough to win the AFC West division and earn them a playoff birth.
Not only that, but they played the 12-4 Colts in the first round and defeated them in OT!
I'll never forget last season, Chargers make the playoffs at 8-8 and the Patriots finished 11-5 and missed the playoffs, doesn't seem very fair but I guess that's just part of life.
I don't care much about the Pro Bowl, but Desean Jackson became the first player to win a start in 2 positions, kick returner and wideout.
Also, Sheldon Brown received his yearly snub, but Asante Samual made it again. A shame fans only look at stats and familiar names when voting
Go CHARGERS!!! :)
Doh!
I'd blame the loss of short term memory on pot... 'cept that I don't smoke it anymore.
Guess that it has to be senility now. :p
Yea. Doesn't happen often, but every once in a while a misjustice is done in the NFL with this. The division winner having a worse record than a team that misses a wildcard spot.Quote:

Used to be that a wildcard team didn't have a hope in hell of advancing in the playoffs. That home field advantage was everything. Maybe it's just me, but it seems that homefield doesn't make a win a lock like it used to. Seems to be a lot of upsets now.
Now its whos hot at the end. I think its because teams are more evenly matched then they used to be. The 12-4 teams just had a lot more talent than the 9-7 teams. Now the top talent in the league is spread out over virually every team, so the team that is playing there best football at the end has a great shot, regardless of record.
I think teams like Minnesota and New Orleans are in trouble simply because they played there best football several weeks ago. San Diego and Philly are both red hot and have all the momentum. Teams like Dallas and New England, while they don't have the long streaks, seem to have caught fire lately.
Broncos needed a win...and instead stunk up the joint and lost by 20 :p
Lions finish the third straight year ranked dead last in defense yards and points allowed.
Jim Zorn will get the axe tomorrow.
Can't believe the Broncos/Chiefs game!
Geez confidence is so important in sports. Seemed like the Broncos completely lost theirs half way through the season.
