The "platforming" in general gets to me because there is really no sense of you actually controlling anything; don't worry about ever missing a jump or swing because you can't even jump off a ledge unless there is someplace to jump to.
Characters are a bit stereotypical IMO. Voice acting is good.
The environments and art design are amazing, though, and worth the price of admission for what you can buy the game for these days. I'd say the environments are hampered only by the incredible obviousness and awkwardness of the platforming holds. I don't like how organic a lot of stuff looks in, say, a forest, then suddenly you see a bunch of perfectly spaced perfectly straight branches sticking out somewhere, then a vertical pipe and some metal studs for basically no reason. They stick out much more than the holds in something like inFamous; in that, while there were certain parts where the silliness of location of platforming holds was kind of obvious, for the most part you were just jumping up the features of buildings and it was a lot more natural.
