Deion basically guaranteed them a Superbowl the year that they signed him. But I think that they would have won one anyways even without him. They were just way too strong. But I think that that one signing had more to do with the Cowboys demise in the 90's tha anything else.

Depth is important as you say. And it appears that Jerry Jones still hasn't figured that one out. Which is exactly why I think that he's one of the worst owners in the league. Because he meddles too much.
I am very happy the Cowboys beat the Giants today. Rooting for them made me vomit a little in my mouth, but it helps the Eagles a lot.

Kitna lit the giants up, and Eli made some some bad decisions that cost the game. He doesn't like to just take the sack and leave the play at that, he ends up doing something boneheaded and turning the all over (his fumble he lost today on the bad snap). Missing Steve Smith hut his game I think.

The rookie punter Dodge still has issues with his nerves. I wish they would have manned up corey webster on dez bryant, terrel thomas fell down on 2 big plays to him trying to deflect the ball (one was the bobble where he went out of bounds that was ruled incomplete)

On top of that, the o line is beat up and is down to 3rd stringers.

This loss will be a good wakeup call to get them ready for the iggles.

Anyone see the jets game? their kicker Nick Folk missed 3 field goals, even a chipshot off the post, also missed in OT that would have won the game

Folk has been struggling all season, I've seen him miss several field goals this year that he normally never misses. Lucky for the Jets, his misses today ended up not costing them the game.

Oh and a shout out to my Silver & Black, they moved into first place today during their bye week, can't beat that for a bye, and remain a perfect 3-0 in the division

I was surprised th giants got no pressure on Kitna, Dallas's O line is has been horrible all year. Last year the Giants started out 5-0 playing teams like the Raiders, Bucs and Chiefs (all sucked last year). They looked like world beaters until the they got to the "meat" of their schedule and then collapsed, especially the defense. I know everyone blamed the D coordinator, but I thought there was more to it than that. The personel on D is almost the same this year, and now they have the Eagles twice, whos offense is as good as any in the league, Jags, who have been playing well and scoring, and Packers left. I guess my theory will be tested.

Strangely, this may be the first time I've gotten into this thread so far this season.

I was telling a lot of people that all of the teams in the NFL are so close talent-wise, and thus emotion can matter so much on a game by game basis, that the Cowboys had a pretty good chance of winning this game. Most people looked at me like I was crazy.

Very confusing, Mcnabb is not good enough to run a 2 minute drill, and Rat Face though Grossman of all people was more qualified. They even worked out Jamarcus Russel. Then 2 weeks later hey sign him to a 5 year extension with 40 million dollars guarenteed. Very strange, cannot really make out what they are doing, but hey it is the Redskins. Personel decisions are not supposed to make sense.

Sounds like Shanahan has a problem with mcnabb, and snyder overroad him.

Giants have a rep for poor second halves under coughlin, so ya, we'll see.

I feel good about this year. The Giants personnel isn't exactly the same, they actually have a real middle lb with the emergence of Goff, which they didn't have last season, and they have 3 capable safeties. Last year at this point in time philips was on IR leaving maybe one safety who would qualify as average, Aaron Rouse & CC brown *shudder*, neither could play the pass. Dline is healthy, Canty isn't injured, Osi isn't fresh off knee surgery, Tuck can use both arms

I think I said this always, but the last time they played Vick when he was on the eagles they contained him

Well we have won 4 in a row against the Giants. Vick is completely different. He just seems...smarter. He is taking the sack and throwing the ball away when nothing is there, and has the best offense around him that he has ever had. Andy Reid has flaws as a coach, but is awesome with QB's.

I think the giants and eagles will split the games 1 win each.

On another note, the redskins are pathetic. I just lost my fantasy matchup to vick in 16 minutes lol....so this game sucks on 2 different levels for me

Well...Desean got me the points I needed to win like 9 seconds into the game, so its epic win x 2 for me lol.

Splitting the 2 games sounds right to me. If the Giants don't get hits and sacks on Vick I think we will win both. We need to stop Bradshaw, and Nicks scares me because we always have problems with big tall receivers.

I like Kolb, and I think he will be a good QB, but they need to resign Vick and trade Kolb. They probably could get a 1st rounder for him, and Vick looks like he has learned how to play QB on top of being the best athlete on the field.

Kolb could be a good fit on some middle of the pack team, Philly has obviously chosen their guy. It's rare that you see a team put up 28 points and still get demolished like DC did.

Seems in warmups before the game Hall and Landry where mocking Desean about the concussion he suffered a few weeks ago. If so, and there is some proof, both should be fined IMO. Also, first play of the game, Landry covering Jackson:

There are a few talented teams that would be improved immediately by Kolb. Minnesota is the first that comes to mind, especially since its the same offense Kolb has had in Philly for 4 years. Miami is another team that he would probably be a good fit for.

If the Matt Cassel and Matt Schaub trades didn't warrant 1st round picks, there's no way Kolb would IMO.
