Why are you trying to sneak around in this game? The objective is to kill and get loot.

I'm enjoying the hell out of this game. Had some issues getting Private games working but so far the game is just damn fun.

This game rocks. I have been playing it on 360. Only to level 24 at this point. I haven't gained a lot of levels in the past bit I have played since I have been helping others level, still lots of fun.

Was posted several pages back too. The mouse smoothing thing was the most useful to me!

Nice! It's all in one place so it's easier to follow. He also uses the ESDF for movement which means even less editing for me. yay

I had Borderlands crash while loading today and it overwrote all of my settings. boo hiss

I did a few ini tweaks yesterday (turned off intro movies, FOV and 3rd person mode primarily) and when I loaded the game it had reset all my video settings and wiped ALL of the controls mapping, meaning the only thing I could do in game was mouselook; no shooting, moving, opening menus, NOTHING. Had to alt-tab and then force the program closed.

Found a pretty abusable trick in New Haven that makes me wonder what I've missed in the past -

meh, its really not that hard to exploit this game

    - join high level public game and wait around while other ppl do the dirty work
    - pick up high level drops
    - save
    - load single player and sell

I've never had a problem with money in the game. It grows on trees.

But then you'd have to deal with idiots in public games while you race them to drops. I prefer just doing quick runs by myself on two easy chests that pretty much always give great stuff.

The experience thing is actually pretty cool imo. No that my character and my other good friend that I play with most of the time are both in the 20s, if we want to start a new character we can just join up with the other guy's game and get a quick boost up to higher levels instead of having to slog through the low level garbage again.

I'm an item whore and am contstantly seeing stuff in the shop for $40k or more that I want and my income in regular playing can't keep up with my extravagant spending habits.

I'm looking at this game now and I'm wondering what is there to do after you finish the game? Are the worlds created so if you restart, the levels are different like in Diabo?

The second playthrough of the game is MUCH harder. Also, DLC should be released relatively soon.

I don't really see why you would even want to do this or the New Haven chest exploit. Money and weapon drops are plentiful, I'd rather just play the game than farm crap.

Like I said, I just have this propensity to want everything for sale in the store. It's a HUGE draw of these types of games for me. Games like this, Diablo, and Titan Quest really just suck me in because I LOVE getting and trying out tons and tons of new things. Different strokes for different folks. Also probably the reason my game backlog is so damn huge.

I don't really know that I'm even going to spend much time farming in New Haven anyway, just thought it was something interesting that I found. If I take advantage at all I'll probably just do it long enough to get a new shield (since I've been using my current one for forever even though it's not all that great because I've gotten terrible shield drops) and a good revolver (because I like those a lot for some reason but, again, have only found pretty crappy ones).
