Hammerhead Shark
Metro 2033
Anyone excited for this game? It comes out March 16th.
http://www.metro2033game.com/en
It's a survival horror RPG. Similar to Stalker, but with more horror elements.
The system requirements are ridiculous. The optimal requirements are a Core i7, 8 GB ram, SSD drive, and nVidia 470/480 video card (which are not even out yet)
Phenom II 550BE . Biostar TA-785G3. 512MB HD4850 . 2 GB DDR3 . WD 250 GB Sata . Razer AC1 . 500W psu. Win 7 Home

Awesome.
Never heard of this one, but I love me some scary games. Let me know how it is!

What you gonna do?!?
I want to think this looks cool but I just get the feeling that it will be very mediocre. Gonna rent it from gamefly after God of War III.

Nerdy.......AND sexy
i get the same feeling from the gameplay movies. I'll read reviews first .

WOW have a very "stalker" like look and feel to it based on the video..
can't believe it's comming out so soon in about 10 days (03-19-10)
though it might be for Russian localization only?
I never heard of the game before but it looks good..

Into the Wasteland
that has to be the funniest video i've seen in a while. The moron running back and forth and the zombie flop was great at the end.

Has anyone gotten the game yet? I'd gotten it yesterday and given it a spin. For those with nicely spec'ed systems, give this a go at max setting DX11. My HD5870s cannot do it @5760x1200, best I can do is with Normal ingame setting + AAA + 4xAF DX11. I switched profile to 1920x1200 and gave the game a spin again at max setting (Very High) DX11 and it runs very smoothly. Only snag is, this game has some sorta bug, the image seems to be 'squeezed', like the FOV is set too high....EyeFinity mode looks good though.

I think it have to do with the 3D engine.
I had this problem with Stalkers. even though Metro does not use the Xray engine like Stalker, Metro is a new engine built grounds up from the same guys that did stalker. so I'm sure they reuse SOME of the older codes..
To fix it. set it to Windowed (not full screen). and then from there just set it back to fullscreen.
the next time u run the game it should be fine.
BTW: I don't have the game yet so I can't say if it will work for you.

Ah, OK, will do as you say when I get back from work. It does look very nice though, but I don't get why it's so hard on a system....yeah, DX11 with motion blur and tessellation is taxing, but my cards seem to handle it well enough. Thing is, not sure if a single HD5870 can max it out as well in DX11. Anyway, since it's running smoothly, I'll get a little ambitious with the AA setting and see where I land. BTW, running with Cat 10.3a (the so-called Performance driver, odd thing is, I don't see bezel management anywhere).

I'm getting about mid 40 (lows) to 50+ (average) to 70s (highs). It ran so well, I'd stopped to the game and set it at 'High'. haven't restarted the game yet but will soon. Here are some screenies at Normal:

It looks pretty cool, if flawed. Ars gave it a good review and they aren't the typical, hype-generating, 20-year-old gaming press.

Hey mikeysg.
I grabbed the game today and just started playing..
since you run in eyefinity I got a question for you.
When I run the game in eyefinity. my mouse sensitivity get really high along the X axis but the Y axis is kinda slow...
do you have that problem?
