The latest PC Gamer magazine has an article about the upcoming Medal of Honor game that DICE is doing the MP on. Bad Company 2 will probably dwindle away as everyone playing that game jumps in on the new MOH in October.

I dont understand this/people who do this. Why immediately abandon a game you like just to play something else because its "newer" ? I tend to stick with a games for a long time and hate when a multiplayer game ends up pretty much abandonded because something newer came out. If you enjoy it, why not stick to it?

I guess short attention span. I understand getting bored, but not this fast? I played Quake Wars for about 3 years and only then did I pick up Bad Company 2 because I got kind of bored of the game. I still come in time to time to Quake Wars, but I just dont get the fad of "LOLS! New game came out, OMG Im not gonna play this old one anymore".

I haven't stopped playing the older games, I just don't play them as often as the newer ones. My fps gaming goes in spurts. Heck I have probably logged 50 hrs in the past month playing DOD:S on one server and the same map (avalanche) exclusively..and I have had that game for years.

So I have tried getting back into bad company. I can play for 2 min then get a disconnect that hangs when repotting in. So I have to restate the game and repeat this process a couple of times before it works. Between that, the crap friends list, and frustrating Server browser that shows 8 empty slots, but won't let you connect because the server is full... Since I have unlocked everything, I am not really interested in fighting to play when there aren't any new maps or unlockables, so I have moved on from this title unless I get an invite to join up with a group of you all and it isn't such a freaking hassle when there easier options ( insert any valve mp title here)

The game is definitely worth a full $50, no question. It's the best multiplayer game that I've played since Battlefield 2. I can't wait for the remake of BF:Vietnam. I'm guessing that it'll be a mix of BF:Vietname maps and some new ones as well. I really wish they'd release Karkand for Bad Company 2, I loved that map.

From watching the new Medal of Honor multiplayer videos, they all seem pretty much identical to Bad Company 2....except there's no tanks of helis.

For some people maybe, I personally enjoy FPS games without vehicles, unless they are done very well and balanced. One reason I did not like World at War was because of the imbalance of tanks, and the vehicles turned me off of BFBC2 as well.

Quake Wars is/was one game that really got vehicles right.

well balanced, accesible for all...and extremely useful.

Still think they need to drop it to $25 or less. No one's buying it now at $50. They'd make up for it in volume sold easy.

I've killed probably 500 tanks and APCs in BFBC2. Most of these are with the RPG-7/Carl Gustaf/AT4. I have a few with the TOW/Kornet and a few with C4. I have exactly one tank kill with mines. The only thing I don't like about the armor in BC2 is that their top armor doesn't seem to be weaker. Their side and rear armor is definitely weaker than the front. It could just be that I rarely have an opportunity to top attack a tank. It is cool how the angle of impact also changes the damage.

The only thing about vehicles and emplacements in BC2 is how completely exposes emplaced weapons are. Who in their right mind would just put a TOW or Kornet launcher out in the open with no defilade or anything? The same usually goes for the heavy machine guns.

The other thing I didn't like about BC2 is that you have the same map no matter the server size. BF2 had different sized version of a particularly map for 16, 32, and 64 players. A small map like Arica Harbor feels really spammy with 32 players. A big map like Atacama Desert feels lonely with only ten players. No prone firing is also a big turn off.

Get a mouse like a Logitech G500, that's what I have. Like the G5 I had before it has three different sensitivity settings so you can switch them on the fly with a press of a button. Unlike most leet gaming mice, it's actually a good mouse that is usable for everyday stuff.

I'll use the highest setting for controlling a tank or APC gun, the middle setting for running around on foot, and the low setting for sniping. It works pretty well, My K/D ratio is very, very rarely below 1:1 these days, usually somewhere between 2 and 2.5:1 and I'm usually the guy taking down objectives or killing armor.
