    Single player was like you describe, but multiplayer absolutely has an economics portion. And you even get to build things. MP is what makes that game awesome.


    I think you hit the nail on the head. DoW had the best balance IMHO. Some great base building with lots of neat tactical mechanics to keep the game dynamic and engrossing

    I felt DoW2 was too DotA IMHO. I wanted a little more base building and fewer epic hero units.
    But DoW 2 only lets you have one hero unit... and it's nothing like DotA. I think you're forgetting that DoW 1 actually let you have multiple heroes unless you were playing Necron who only needed the one.
