Ravenloft looks like a lot of fun but I passed it up in favor of the other new dungeon crawl board game that just came out, Dungeon Quest.

In fact, would you guys be interested in playing an online version of Encounters s3?
Sure...though still waiting for that other online game.

I meant in place of. Like one season.

I have zero time lately and Minecraft has enveloped all free time this week. -__-

I've just started a new game this week end in Eberron. I asked what was missing in the band and ended up with a Cleric (supporting a Paladin, a Psion and what I think was a Seeker, "ranged DPS" was the vibe I got, this particular group is heavily influenced by MMOs and it shows some times). That will be interesting as it was among my favorite class back in the heydays and became Rogue fanatic with 3rd ed. Each time I have an opportunity to play the 4th ed. I take something I've stopped playing because of unwieldy rules, so far it's been a fun experience.

Thanks to a new DDI article posted today I have a great idea for a game. This is going to be more than a one-shot but it will be easy to drop in / drop out. More details as they come, but start thinking Dark Sun.

Eberron is my gaming campaign of choice. I love the setting! I hope you enjoy yourself. There is so much cool stuff in the setting that I hope your group doesn't get too caught up in the MMO level grind and focuses on the story being told, at least a little.

Let me know if you need anything when it comes to setting info or whatever. I have been playing and running Eberron for years now and am always looking for a reason to talk about it. Happy healing.

When are some new specialty Warforged components gonna be released? It looks like you can pretty much make what ever you want, but it would be nice to see Wizards release a new official addendum to it. Even an article in Dungeon magazine would be nice.

Okay, the new DDI article which inspired me was in regards to hunters on Athas so I got to thinking... Monster Hunter... D&D?!

    Yeah, it's gonna be awesome.

Eberron support is sadly not a major priority of Wizard's. They publish online content in the form of an article every month or so. As for new component info, I would suggest looking into 3.5 Eberron books and converting if you want additional support.

I thought the same thing despite not ever having played Monster Hunter but for like 5 minutes. I should really do that...which one should I play?

    What consoles do you own?

There are games for the PS2, Wii, PSP, and an online Japanese PC version.

I have the wii copy and I find it fantastic. I would highly suggest it. The online is free and the play value is immense.

Yeah I have that, but it would be nice to still see some new ideas.

It is highly repetitive and it takes a while to get interesting, but the combat is fun and rewarding. I say get started with Monster Hunter Tri on Wii and make sure you're playing with a Classic Controller (or Classic Controller Pro).

It takes about 1 to 3 hours (depending on how quick you pick up) of Single Player Mode to get the basics and feel for the game. Eventually you can move on to online play which is pretty straightforward and offers some unique missions and rewards every week.

In fact, I got my special Sharq Lance a few months back from a special online quest :
