Has got that jut
Who all is in for Diablo III at launch?
I finally caved and made an order for release day delivery from Amazon. Don't get many games at launch anymore but I was finally convinced on this one for the same reason I ended up getting Borderlands at launch, that being some friends IRL that are getting it right away.
Unfortunately, I may be away from a gaming computer for the last week of May so I might have to take a bit of a break two weeks in.

I'm in. I was just reminiscing with an old boss about me and him opening the local Software Etc the day Diablo 1 launched. It was my first "big" launch. I want to say we had over 150 pre-orders (in a town of approx 100k). It was a steady trickle but we unloaded every pre-order and extra copy (about 50 more) that day. Good times. Found him on Facebook after all this time and we're going to do some multi together.

$100 is just too much. (If wifey and I can't play together, there is no point.) It has to come down. I still haven't bought Starcraft II, so it could be a long time.

I don't roll on Shabbos!
I'll pick it up in the store within a week of launch. I'm moving out of my apartment on the 16th, so there is no reason to rush. I'll probably be on the weekend of release. Can't wait.

In my neck of the woods, there are so many threads ina local forum about D3, with many on upgrades to run D3. Honestly dunno what the hoopla's about as I've never played the previous games before, nor am I a fan of such games. Still, it's crazy to see some jumping to IB + mid-top end vid cards in preparation for this game. I am looking forward more to Colonial Marines and Max Payne III myself......

I refuse to believe that your computer can run BF3 but can't run Diablo 3!

I consider my rig to be mid-level and if retail runs like beta, I'll have no issues whatsoever running ultra @ 1080p

nuclear launch detected
i agree with the first post... d3 is a very social game (same with borderlands)... playing solo is not worth paying $60 for this game but if you have IRL friends then it is worth it even at $100 (easily how much you can drop on drinks on one night with your friends). i will probably get it eventually because my GF played the beta with me and enjoyed it
if any of you have a PS3 though, pick up the Pixeljunk 3-pack on sale right now for $2 (includes Pixeljunk Monster, Eden, and Racer)... Monster is probably the most fun i have had with a 2 player co-op game in a long time
