Now that you mention it, I think the Zombie DLC scaling did happen in a recent patch, but I could be wrong there...either way I know it definitely scales now.

Mad Moxxi is not devoid of loot. Granted, all the mobs you kill during a round drop no loot, however at the end of every round after you kill the "Boss" mob, Mad Moxxi will drop loot below her in the circle thing where you spawned.

It's definitely not enough loot IMO considering how long it takes to complete a round, but it does have loot, and it does drop more if you have more people in your party.
